House Bill No. 205 was filed by Representative Donna Mayfield.

Introduced in the Kentucky House or Representatives on February 5, 2013, House Bill No. 205 originally proposed that Ale-8-One be named "the official Kentucky original soft drink."

The State Government Committee amended the bill to name Ale-8-One as "an original Kentucky soft drink."

The substitute committee bill was approved by the full House of Representatives on February 26, 2013 and by the full Senate on March 7, 2013.

Governor Steve Beshear signed House Bill No.205 on March 23, 2013 naming Ale-8-One an origianal Kentucky soft drink.

Title

AN ACT designating Ale-8-One as an original Kentucky soft drink.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 2 IS CREATED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

Ale-8-One is named and designated as an original Kentucky soft drink.
