The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Quarter
Fronting an outline of the state is the statue
"Commonwealth," the state motto and a "keystone." Commonwealth has been
standing on top of the Pennsylvania state capital dome in Harrisburg
since 1905 and represents kindness and justice. The "keystone"
recalls an 1802 Jefferson Republican victory rally where
Pennsylvania was toasted as "the keystone in the federal union.".
